CALC EXECUTIVE OFFICER BIO's | PAST PRESIDENTS

LeeAnn Kirma - President
LeeAnn Kirma is an alumni of Wayne State University, Detroit, MI with a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice. She currently works as a Project Management Analyst at Ford Motor Company on the Explorer vehicle line. In addition to being an active member of the Chaldean Community LeeAnn has dedicated her time to various committees and organizations, such as CALC, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, Carehouse, Race for the Cure, and Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. LeeAnn also helps coordinate and plan events with the Shenandoah Country Club’s Social Committee.

Gloria Kassa - Vice President

Gloria Kassa is presently the CALC Secretary and was previously a member of the reserve board. Gloria has been an active member in CALC for numerous years. She is wife to Michael Kassa, the mother of four children, and a grandmother.

Jane Shallal - Treasurer
Jane is the current president of The Associated Food & Petroleum Dealers (AFPD). She leads the day-to-day operations of the 3,900-member association, which is dedicated to the preservation of the independent food, beverage, and fuel retailer and the organizations that support them. Jane received her Juris Doctor degree in 1983. Afterward she worked in the legal profession for a number of years, holding positions such as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney with the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office, Asst. U.S. Attorney for U.S. Attorney's Office, and Deputy Grievance Administrator for the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission among others. Jane was also a partner in law firm of Shallal & Shallal, PLLC from 1997 – 2006.

Julie Garmo - Secretary
Julie has been volunteering for the Chaldean American Ladies of Charity for over twenty years. Encouraged by the founder, her uncle, the late Bishop George Garmo, Julie has been an active member since 1986. She has served on the executive board as secretary and treasurer as well as a member of the advisory board. Professionally, she is the travel supervisor on the Volkswagen of America account for BCD travel of Southfield, MI.

Margaret Butti - Board Member
Margaret possesses a B.A. in English Literature from Baghdad University and has worked for the last 37 years in a variety of positions. She enjoys working with people and has been volunteering for CALC for the last seven years. She also worked for two years for the Chaldean Federation as an Office Coordinator. She is a married mother of four children.

Currently Margaret is a Job Developer at the ACC. She has held the position since 1998.Butti has chaired the nursing home committee for the last five years, coordinating activities for the residents at St. Anthony Nursing Home like Thanksgiving, Christmas and Mothers day events.


Renee A. Yaldo - Board Member
Renee established Mainly Marketing in 2004. Yaldo, the company’s President, is a veteran marketing professional with years of experience in a variety of management positions for Budco, Carlson Marketing Group, and ASG Renaissance.

Yaldo has managed marketing, merchandising, eCommerce, event management, and public relations activities for such companies as Ford Motor Company, General Motors’ Saturn Division, and Johnson & Johnson. She holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Public Relations from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Yaldo served on the CALC advisory board prior to her election to the executive board.
